We are a comprehensive food wholesaler that sourcing products from manufacturers and distributing them to retailers nationwide. With 11 branches nationwide, we have grown by consistently accumulating trust through our role as a "bridge" between our three key stakeholders: manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

Functions of KATO SANGYO
Retail Support

We analyze retailers' current situation and market environment, make proposals in line with customer needs to revitalize their entire sales floor. In addition, we identify consumer trends promptly and accurately and make full use of POS/ID-POS data and trade area analysis, contributing to increasing the frequency of store visits and the number of items purchased.
Merchandising

As lifestyles diversify, in-demand products will also change in various ways. We handle products from many manufacturers, and at the same time, we aim to provide an assortment of products that will meet customers' "wants." We also place optimal orders by forecasting demand based on information such as seasonality, weather, events, and in-store sales promotions.
Logistics

To meet customers' demands and deliver the necessary goods, we efficiently manage a wide variety and large volume of products. We have established a supply chain for retailers, and we balance logistics efficiency and sales advantages by leveraging our nationwide logistics bases and distribution network to achieve small-lot, high-frequency deliveries, batch distribution, and other capabilities.
Product Development

We develop our own branded products such as "Kanpy" with a focus on taste, quality, and packaging, capturing the diverse needs of consumers. Since our founding, we have been engaged in product development, drawing on the expertise cultivated throughout our history to deliver unique products that satisfy our customers. In addition to product development, we also carefully select and procure merchandise from around the world to create a rich assortment of products that respond to consumers' evolving needs and lifestyles.
Business Domains of the KATO SANGYO Group
Since our establishment, we have expanded our category from our ambient temperature distribution business to include the manufacture of our own branded products, low-temperature distribution business, and liquor distribution business, all based on our ambient temperature distribution business. In recent years, we have also placed emphasis on developing our confectionery distribution business. Furthermore, as Japan's domestic population continues to decline, we are strengthening our overseas operations. The Group's overall capabilities are enhanced through affiliated companies engaged in logistics and food manufacturing businesses.
